Spring Time is Good Food Time!



One of the best parts of the Spring season is that you get the best of fresh fruits and vegetables in this season. Eating seasonally is very healthy and beneficial. Spring foods are bursting with fresh ripe flavors and textures, not to mention antioxidants, minerals, flavonoids, and key nutrients your body loves.


The days are getting longer, the air is getting fresher, and everyone seems to be in a good mood. This changing of the season marks a time for all things to come alive and experience renewal.


It's Natural!

In nature, springtime brings abundant growth in the form of all plants, flowers, and delicious colorful spring foods. For our bodies, it means leaving behind the heaviness of grounding foods and embracing all things light and fresh.


All animals are inherently attuned to the environment and are meant to eat the foods that grow around us. In spring those foods include a wide array of veggies and fruit that will make you feel nourished while also gently cleansing and resetting your digestive and immune systems.


Here are a few tips.

Citrus Power If lemons and grapes are your favorite, what are you waiting for? Start making lemonade. or drink a glass of fresh grape juice every morning to keep germs and viruses at bay. Also, use more of lemon juice in recipes that require it. Vitamin C in it will boost your immune system.

Greens Galore

Springs provide us with the tastiest and the most versatile greens like arugula, artichokes, asparagus, green onions, spinach, wild greens, beets, carrots, radishes, and lettuce. These tasty delights encourage you to have more salads for lunch as well as dinner. Even breakfast! Try adding a small arugula salad next to your morning eggs - the peppery flavor pairs well and is incredibly healthy too.

Have Herbs

Mint and parsley are spring herbs. Herbs create a magic and add a distinct flavor to food as well as drinks. Add a leaf of mint to your homemade lemonade or add a few herbs to your pasta and you're ready to go.


And Something Sweet

Naturally sweet Maple syrup reaches its peak sweetness and flavor in spring. So ditch artificial sweeteners and white sugar and go natural instead. Add maple syrup to your oats or pancakes and enjoy the sweetness without hampering your health. Also, fruits like apricots and strawberries are available in spring. So have your favorite fruit tart and have fun.
