As a resident of Greenwich Village, I call upon our elected officials to do everything in their power to save our Morton Williams supermarket at 130 Bleecker Street. A supermarket has functioned continuously at its current location for over 50 years. Morton Williams is the only full-service supermarket in the area, serving 3,000 residents every day. It provides 24-hour essential service, including affordable hot meals to all residents, especially to the elderly and to persons with special needs. Morton Williams has remained open during times of crisis, such as the pandemic and devastating storms. Please save our supermarket.
